Rob once came across a LinkedIn article titled “Time and Material Billing is Unethical,” shared by a long-forgotten connection. That article left a lasting impression on him. Since then, we’ve been striving to move away from time-and-material billing models, transitioning instead to fixed project pricing or monthly recurring fees. The only exceptions currently are custom programming and consulting services billed by the hour – and even for those, we’re exploring alternatives.
In manufacturing, companies are expected to provide clear, firm pricing for their products. It’s only fair that we apply the same principle to the services we offer.
In the ERP industry, most competitors rely heavily on time-and-material billing. Even those claiming to offer “fixed” project pricing often include caps based on a set number of hours. Our fixed fees, by contrast, are genuinely fixed. We don’t track hours or set arbitrary limits – we focus on delivering results.
Our approach is always centered on putting the customer first and ourselves second. While, like any business, we aim to be profitable, we believe success should never come at the cost of fostering strong, long-term relationships.

Rob graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor’s of Engineering in the early 90s. He has read “The Goal” at least 4 times, “Lean Thinking” at least 3 times, and has seen Star Wars more times than he can count (Han shot first!).
He is an avid collector of music and, using “The Rolling Stone Top 500 Album List” as a guide, has managed to buy 490 of the 500 (the rest are out of print).
Jenn has almost 20 years of manufacturing experience, starting at Sabre in 2008. She has expertise in project management, supply chain, shipping, inventory management, production control, and material requirement planning.
In her free time, she rescues cats on her country property and has found new homes for around 30 cats, five of which now live with her.
Krystal graduated with honours from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor’s in Psychology in 2016. She’s got a real knack for working with people and is all about delivering the best customer experience ever! Krystal loves learning new things and has completed several A+ courses to keep her skills sharp.
When she’s not busy making customers happy, you’ll find her painting or exploring the great outdoors – especially if there’s a waterfall to chase!
